The COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a progressive and an obstructive lung disease that is specified by poor airflow and breathing issues (long-term).

There are two major types of COPD:-

  • Chronic bronchitis- It persist a long-term cough (including mucus).
  • Emphysema- The lungs are damaged over time.

Majority of the people with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease experience a combination of both conditions.

The major symptoms of this disease are shortness of breath and cough production with sputum.

The causes of COPD are given below:-

  • Smoking
  • The lack of alpha-1 antitrypsin protein.
  • Long-term exposure to different lung irritants (like air pollution, dusts, chemical fumes, etc).
