After the hyperventilation, the breath held will be shorter in duration as compared to the breath hold in normal breathing. During normal breathing there will be a healthy balance between breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbondioxide. And during hyperventilation, the exhalation will be more than inhalation. During hyperventilation the rate of removal of carbon dioxide from the blood is increased. The diseases that may arouse from the hyperventilation are anxiety, panic, nervousness, or stress. It often takes the form of a panic attack.
