Homework Answers

Answer #1

The answer is option C

If fertilisaton doesnot occur the corpus luteum is converted into corpus albicans.

The corpus luteum is a structure that develops from the ovarian follicle after the release of the ovum. This is an endocrine structure that secretes Progesterone, estradiol etc..Progesterone is important for the maintanance of the embryo inside the utreus. If the egg is not fertilized, the corpus luteum stops the secretion of progesterone and starts to decay. The corpus luteum degenerates to form corpus albicans
