Skeletal muscles are one of three types of muscle tissues with cardiac and smooth are the other two. The name itself suggest that it is attached to skeletal. Muscle tissues together with bones, blood vessels, tendons, and nerves gives shape and movement of the body. The shortening of skeletal msucle during contraction causes the movement of bones to which it is attached. The major physical functions of skeletal muscles include maintain posture and position, support soft tissues, gives shape, encircle openings of the digestive, urinary, and other tracts. Skeletal muscles help to spport and move our body via contraction and relaxation.
