Answer #1

The patient may get Acute Kidney Injury after car accident.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) usually happens when the kidneys are damaged suddenly. The damage that leads to AKI may be caused by:

  • Not enough blood flowing through kidneys
  • An injury directly to kidneys or a problem with kidneys
  • A blockage in ureters, the tubes that take urine from kidneys to bladder
  • Urine formation is a very sophisticated process that takes place in the kidneys.

In the above scenarios, patient can not urinate as the formation of urine stops.
