Discussion: Why do you think that the dental assistant needs to know the correlation of the bones of the skull, the blood vessels and nerves of the skull?

Share an example of how you would use this in a clinical setting.

It is very important for a dentist and a dental assistant to know about the bones of skull,blood vessels and nerves of the skull as dental treatment has a strong relation with the skull. If a person has to undergo tooth extraction, then the dentist must be aware of the whole anatomy present in and around the tooth. Before extraction , the nerve which is supplying the tooth need to be anaesthetised by giving injection and each tooth have their different nerve supply . So study of skull is very importal in dental procedures as well.
