Answer #1

It is rare ,yes

Fertilization of an egg with 2 sperm is rare and is still possible.whej 2 sperm with haploid number of chromosome fuse with and egg who have same haploid number of chromosome result in a triploid cell that has 3 set of chromosome. This is called a partial molar pregnancy. Mostly these material wont development into a fetus due to lack of viability to triploid cells . 69 chromosome will be there in these cells . In this situation it might not term into an embryo or development into an incomplete embryo. A grape like cyst is the result of this situation and will not develop into a child

After listening to a podcast on metastasis, two BIOL 476 students are arguing about secondary site selection for tumor cells. While one student argues that the tumor cell selects the secondary site by choice, the other argues that it is decided out of compulsion. The students get into a heated discussion and you think that the only way calm these students is to provide rationale for both arguments. Discuss what you would say and why. (2x3=6 points)

Think of a problem dealing with two possibly related variables (Y and X) that you may be interested in. Share your problem and discuss why a regression analysis could be appropriate for this problem. Specifically, what statistical questions are you asking? Why would you want to predict the value of Y? Pick any two variables that you feel may be related and estimate what you think the strength of the correlation coefficient would be for those two variables. In your response, estimate the value of r. For example, specify a strong (.7 to .9), medium (.4 to .6), or low (0 to .3) value for r. The value of the coefficient can be positive or negative. For example, consider an increase in police patrols in a neighborhood and the number of...
