for eg.

if we identify the T4 vertebrae then we know at this point trachea bifurcates .

On the sides of angle of louis 2nd intercostal space is present so it helf to find this space for auscultation of aortic and pulmonary area.

By identifying L4 vertebrae then by below it lumbar puncture is done.

iliac crest is helpful for taking bone marrow biopsy.
