Answer #1

2 )Hormonal Intrauterine devices use hormones to prevent pregnancy. The hormonal IUD usually releases a tiny amount of the hormone progestin into your body over several years.

Hormonal IUDs prevent pregnancy by keeping sperm cells away from your eggs and this is done by two ways:- a) by making mucus on cervix thicker and thus mucus blocks sperm so it can’t get to an egg.

b)The hormones in the IUD can also stop eggs from leaving your ovaries which means there’s no egg for a sperm to fertilize.

Hope this helps you. Thank you ?
