Yes the location of the ovum decease the chance of fertilization
because
- For the sperm to reach the ovum out has to cross many
bariiers
- It has to travel through the va gina into the cervical canal
and then through the uterus into fallopian tube.
- If the contraction force is absent then the chance if
fertilization are less
- If the sperm found of individual is less then while the sperm
move from vag ina to the ampulla significant loss in sperm will
occur and decrease chance if fertilization
- If the ovum does not reach the ampulla or istumus for
fertilization then it will not occur
So these many factors will determine if fertilization will occur
in individual
