Diastolic blood pressure is defined as the minimum
pressure recorded during the cardiac cycle. As the minimum pressure
is recorded during diastole, the pressure is called diastolic
pressure.
The measure of diastolic pressure is the heart rate,
ie, the least number measures pressure when herat relaxes between
the beats.
It depends on the peripheral resistance. Therefore
diastolic pressure changes with alteration in perpheral
resistance.Vasocinstriction increases diastolic pressure and
vasodialation decreases the diastolic pressure.
