What are the 3 processes that take place in the kidney leading to the formation of urine? Where, within the kidney, does ion and water regulation occur?

Answer #1

The 3 processes that take place in the kidney leading to the formation of urine are as follows

  1. Glomerular filtration - it is the first step in making of the urine, it filters the blood.
  2. Reabsorbtion - It is the process through which water and ions get reabsorbed from the tubules and transfered to the blood.
  3. Secretion - It is the process through that few substance are secreted directly into the tubules.

Ions and water regulation occur majorly in the proximal convulated tubule and distal convulated tubule by reabsorbtion and secretions.

Clock circuits are used to pace the activity of many systems, where at the leading and trailing edge of every clock cycle some activity is caused to occur. Consider for example, an I3 microprocessor, having a clock speed of 3 GHz. This means that within the integrated circuit of the microprocessor there is a pulse train generator with a 0.333 x 10-9 second cycle time. Therefore, within the time span of 1/3 of a nano-second the microprocessor executes some activity....
