Cardamine is a drug that prevents the corpus luteum from forming; follicular cells undergo apoptosis immediately following ovulation. How, if at all, would the hormonal profiles differ between those women taking cardamine and those that were not taking the drug (think about all the hormones levels that may be different)? Why do you expect that?

Corpus luteum secrete estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone secreated by corpus luteum help in yhe thickening of endometrium , making it suitable for implantation.

In the absence of corpus luteum progesterone level decreases and endometrail thickening is reduced and chanve of pregnancy will be less.

Women taking Cardamine have no corpus luteum therfore their hormonal profile show reduced level of estrogen and progesterone compared to women not taking Cardamine.
