Atherosclerosis is basically a blockage in the blood vessels.If the blockage is present in the carotid artery supplying the brain it can cause instant death due to stroke.Thats how dangerous it is.

Atherosclerosis is the build up of fat,cholesterol which then ruptures to form a blood clot composed of mainly fibrin

It can affect every system in the body especially the cardiovascular system,people complain of chest pain normally

It is unfortunately permanent but if changes in diet like not having excessive junk foof,packaged food and living a healthy life is maintained the person can live a long life.
