Describe exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the tissues and lungs.
Due to contraction of diaphragm the air with oxygen is brought into the body passing oralcavity, bronchi and to alveolus. The alveolus comes in contact with the capillaries where the exchange of gases takes palce. The blood with CO2 from tissues reaches the alveolus and these the co2 diffuse into alvolus due to pressure difference and simple squamous epithelium. At the same time the O2 from air diffuse through alveolar wall and capillary wall and binds to hemoglobin and then carried to tissues.
