Filiform papillae are the numerous of all and present over the dorsum of the tongue.Fungiform papillae are present over the tip of the tongue.Circumvallate papillae are present immediately in front of the foramen caecum and sulcus terminalis.

2.The two types of cells are gustatory cells and supporting cells.Supporting cells form the outer envelope for the bud.Gustatory cells are the chemoreceptors that helps in the identification of taste of the substances.
