Fatigue from MYASTHENIA GRAVIS is prominent at night as a result
of
The number of receptors for the stimulation of muscle for
movement and daily activity is less in patients with myasthenia
gravis. So as a result the same receptors are stimulated over and
over for the activities that we have to do during day time . This
results in the fatigue of the receptor and as a result the symptoms
increase
The amount of acetylcholine has to be high to produce effect on
the muscle as the receptors are low . So when high amount of
acetylcholine produced the whole day without rest result in
depletion in acetylcholine neurotransmitter.
Respiratory systems stoping for few seconds can occur in sleep
which results in lack of O2 and accumulation of lactic acid result
in more fatigue at night
