  • Digestion and absorption: It requires massive energy for the peristaltic movement of smooth muscles of GatroIntestinal tract.and absorption of many substrate takes place throught the active absorption which also requires energy.
  • Respiration and Excretion :Respiration involves the respiratory muscles which help in inspiration ,and requires energy to perform their function.and Excretion requires energy for active absorption of solutes from the filtrate.
  • Cardiovascular activity:It included the transportation of Oxygenated blood to the tissues all over the body.Heart help in the pumping the blood through the vessels to body organs .Energy is required for contraction of cardiac muscles.
