Answer #1

Answer: The skin protects the body from basic elements of nature such as wind water UV light. It acts a protective barrier against water loss. It also acts as first line defense against abrasive activity due to contact with grit, microbes by generating dermicidin which act as antibiotic.

Similarly itegumentary system helps the body maintain a stable internal temperature. If body raises Its temperature blood vessels in the skin dilate, allowing more blood flow to near the skin surfaces. This allows heat to dissipate through the skin and skin produce sweat when body gets too hot rapid breathing can also help the body eliminate excess heat.
