Homework Answers

Answer #1

The DCT contains the Juxtaglomerular apparatus which monitors the blood flowing into the nephron and releases hormones(like aldosterone) to correct problems like low blood pressure.

When blood pressure decreases , the JG apparatus secretes renin which forms angiotensin-I and this is converted in angiotensin-II in the lungs. This angiotensin-II stimulates the secretion of Aldosterone which increases reabsorption of Na2+ ions and water and thus increases the blood pressure.

Urinary trigone is found in urinary bladder.
