1. The time for the food pass from the stomach to the arse is highly variable.

2. But stomach empties in about approximately 4-6 hours and digestion and absorption takes place in small intestine about 6-8 hours.

3. An unabsorbed food available in the colon at approximately 1-2 hours.

4. When the digestion takes place in stomach then the carbohydrates which is present in the food is breakdown into the another type of sugar which is known as glucose.

5. After that, the stomach and small intestine absorbs the glucose and then this glucose released into the blood streams.

6. So our body needs insulin to use or store the glucose in our body.
