The nerve found just below trapezius and above the rhomboids ?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The nerve present below the trapezius and above the Rhomboid muscle is Dorsal Scapular Nerve

Dorsal scapular nerve is orginating from the C5 nerve root of Brachial plexus.

After orginating from the brachial plexus it travel behind the trapezius myscle and comes anterior to Rhomboid major and minor muscle.

The main function of dorsal scapular nerve is to provide motor supply to the levator scapulae ,rhomboid major and rhomboid minor . it doesnot have any sensory supply.

Normally, rapid repeated stimulus applied to the skin above a nerve by a stimulating electrode results in temporal summation and increased muscle contraction. In Wendy’s nerve conduction test, the opposite occurred. What is the mechanism that caused Wendy’s nerve conduction test to be abnormal? Wendy has myasthenia gravis.
