Answer #1

Diuretics are also known as water pills as they flush out the excess water from the body. With this effect the huge amount of salts from the body gets excreted out which lowers the blood pressure. When these excess salts have been gushed out from the blood vessels becomes free and also widens for the easy flow of blood.Excess fluid builds more pressure in the vessels.

Diuretics works on the cardiac out put , plasma volume and also vascular resistance by restoring to the base line properties which results in vasodilation and thus lowering blood pressure.
