Diffusion occurs by a concentration gradient.

Diffusion in alveoli of lungs:

the gas exchange (oxygen and carbondioxide) occurs in the alveoli of lungs is by simple diffusion.

Oxygen diffuse from the alveoli to the blood.

Carbondioxide diffuse from blood to alveoli.

Diffusion in skeletal muscle:

diffusion of oxygen occurs in skeletal muscle also.
