Briefly explain how the eye focuses light on the retina.
Ans:-
The lens of the eye focuses light on the retina.
The lens focuses light through the vitreous humor which is a clear gel like substance, that fills the back of the eye and provides support to the retina.
And in the retina there are photo receptors known as rods and cones are present ,in which rods are very sensitive and detects light.
The retina receives the image that the cornea of the eye focuses through the eye's internal lens and transforms this image into electrical impulses that are carried by the optic nerve to the brain.
