Anterior horn also known as ventral horn is present in anterior side of spinal cord . It contains the cell bodies for alpha motor neurons and gamma motor neurons, which supply the muscle fibres.These are the efferent fibres which carry the impulse from Central nervous system,and control the motor movements of muscle fibre.If the anterior horns are damaged,motor functioning directly going to be affected which affect the contraction of muscles .It can cause muscle weakness and complete loss muscle movement.
