If the anastomosis is between arteries then it is called as arterial anastomosis and if is between veins is called as venous anastomosis

In heart and brain the anastomosis is formed by arteries so that if the coronary atreru gets blocked by any thrombus then the blood supply to myocardium will be provided by these collateral circulation thus preventing it from infarction

Emphysema is lung sisorder in which alveolar walls gets weakens and get fused with one another and forms large air spaces instead of small and many spaces because of which surface area for exchange of gas decreases and patient will suffer with shortness of breath

Most common cause of emphysema is smoking
