Why can monozygotic twins receive blood transfusions from each other without difficulty, whereas dizygotic twins often cannot?
Monozygotic twins carry almsot identical genetic information as they are formed from one egg and sperm which later after formation of zygote divide and form two individuals thus they carry almost all similar traits including blood group which allow them to easily transfer blood from one another while dizygotic twin develop from two separate egg and sperm carrying different genetic information and this make them to transfuse blood with a bit diffuculty as compared to mozygotic twin.
