Give two factual arguments for and against the use of GMOs in our food supply. State your own opinion about their use and how you reached that conclusion.

Genetically modified organisms are organisms that has been modified for increased productivity and benefits.

Argument for GMOs

1. They are helpful in production of higher amount of output from little amount of area
2. It is resistant against many organism so it will help protect the crop .

Against GMOs

1. Genetically modified crops mostly produce endogenous toxin to kill insects which harm our human body .
2. IGF-1 increase in body has been noted to cause cancer
3. Increase in infertility in individual due to toxic effect has been known

According to me GMO should be encouraged as

1. The population is increasing and to cope up and meet the need we need more food so GMO is helpful
2. With the reduction in land for farming it is useful in making more product from less area
3. Many insects attack and destroy crops and this GMOs will help fight it
