The length of the alimentary canal is approximately 30 feet or 9 meters long. It runs from mouth to @nus and includes esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine. The total length of the GI tracts of an individual is approximately 5 times greater than their height! But surprisingly it can be fit to fit inside the abdomen by being coiled up. Largest organ among the parts of digestive tract is small intestine makes up about three-quarters of the digestive system. It is of about 6 meters or 20 feet long. It looks like a hollow tube which connects the stomach and the large intestine which is about 1.5 meters or 5 feet long.
