Brunnstormm technique was developed by Signe Brunnstrom.This technique is a set of sequences of stages of recovery from hemiplegia after a stroke.It facilitates motor recovery and volitional movement for patients with severe and moderate stroke conditions.It mainly focus on how motor control can be restored through out the body.This technique teaches the patient how to use the abnormal synergy patterns for their advantage.The patient gains voluntary control through the synergy pattern.patient is ablo to move with less restrictionswhen synergy begins to decline.The patients ability to move from the synergy pattern will be greater when the spasticity continues to decline.And the patient is able to do joint movements and mre complex movements by himself.
