FUNCTION OF RNA;-

mRNA;- It is also called as the messenger RNA. I t is a single stranded RNA. It has the following function;-

1. The mRNA carries genetic information from DNA to ribosome present in cytosol, where it is used as a templates for protein synthesis.

2. mRNA is furnished with genetic codes as a sequences of the codon.

3. It is the most heterogeneous type of RNA.

tRNA;- It stands for transfer RNA. It translate the code from mRNA and transfers amino acids to ribosomes to build proteins.

rRNA;- It stands for the ribosomal RNA. It makes up the two subunits used to make ribosomes.
