This causes decreased stimulation of endometrial cells, resulting in endometrial involution by 65%.

During 24 hours preceding the menstruation, the tortuous blood vessels of endometrium becomes vasospastic and decreases nutrients to endometrium. This is initiated necrosis in endometrium and ultimately results into menstruation.
