Answer #1

Answer

Option D) Pulmonary edema

  • Congestive heart failure is the condition where the ventricle is unable to pump the blood as received from atrium.
  • When left ventricle cannot pump the blood, the pressure of left ventricle rises.
  • As a result, the pressure in pulmonary veins also risess they bring oxygenated blood to left side of the heart.
  • This pressure may damage pulmonary capillaries as well as alveolar membrane.
  • This results in the fluid buil up in the alveoli of the lungs.
