Oxygen breathing after exercise or between exercise bouts have proven to improve performance in subsequent bouts of exercise.
True or False?

Answer #1

Answer:

True

Explanation: Oxygen breathing during and after the exercise bouts has been proven to enhance the performance of the individuals.

This is due to the fact that while performing the exercise, the muscle cells get tired and due to unavailability of the sufficient amount of oxygen entering them, they undergo the process of anaerobic respiration due to which they accumulate the lactic acid. However with small bouts of oxygen taken in intervals, the different muscle cells of the body will be made available with oxygen due to which they can be made to undergo the aerobic respiration and a lot of energy will be released thereby enhancing the performance of individuals.

It has been speculated that there is a linear relationship between Oxygen and Hydrocarbon Levels. Specifically, Oxygen purity is assumed to be dependent on Hydrocarbon levels. A linear regression is performed on the data in Minitab, and you get the following results: Regression Analysis: Purity-y versus Hydrocarbon level-X Predictor              Coef SE Coef      T      P Constant             74.283    1.593 46.62 0.000 Hydrocarbon level-X 14.947    1.317 11.35 0.000 S = 1.08653   R-Sq = 87.7%   R-Sq(adj) = 87.1% Analysis of Variance Source          DF      SS     ...

Consider the combustion of methane in oxygen (a reaction we've seen when we've lit soap bubbles on fire), which is a highly exothermic reaction. True or False: Once the activation energy has been reached increasing the concentration of methane and oxygen will increase the rate of the reaction. A successful collision (one that leads to the combustion of methane) will have sufficient energy and the correct orientation. A mixture of methane and oxygen can be kept in the same container...

You have a task to improve performance of your processor on scientific applications where floating-point operations play a critical role. You know that when you are running your program on a processor in a base configuration, the fraction of floating-point instructions is 30% of the total instruction count. The CPI for floating-point instructions is 1.5, and CPI for all other instructions is 1.3. You decided to introduce new dual-op instructions (like multiply-add) and other performance improvements which will reduce the...
