Leptin hormone  is often referred to as the Satiety hormone" or the starvation this hormone.helps to regulate energy balance by inhibiting hunger, which in turn diminishes fat storage in adipocytes.

Leptin resistance, is a condition in which your body does not respond to this hormone, When your brain doesn't receive the leptin signal, it mistakenly thinks that your body is starving, even though it has more than enough energy stored, because of which you start to feel hungry and starts to eat more, resulting in obesity.
