Answer
End diastolic volume (EDV) : The amount of
blood present in the ventricle just before the
systole or at the end of diastole is
known as end diastolic volume.
Normal average value for EDV is : 120 ml
End systolic volume (ESV) : The amount of blood
remaining in the ventricle at the end of systole
(ventricular contraction) or present at the beginning of
the diastole is known as end systolic volume.
Normal average value for ESV is : 50 ml
Stroke volume is the amount of blood pumped by the left ventricle in one heart beat (contraction).
Stroke volume is the difference between end diatolic volume and end systolic volume.
Stroke volume is : End diastolic volume - End systolic volume
Example :
If EDV = 140 ml ; ESV is 70 ml
Stroke volume is 140 - 70 = 70 ml.
