Blood plasma is derived when all the bloodcrlls RBC , WBC , platelets are separated from whole blood.

Plasma is a straw coloured fluid. It contains 90 - 92 percent water. It contain solutes which are critical for life. Important constituents include sodium , potassium, bicarbonate, chloride, magnesium , calcium. There is also other substances like amino acids ,vitamins , organic acid pigments and enzymes. It also contains hormones. Nitrogenous waste urea, creatinine is also found

Plasma contains 6 -8 percent proteins. It include albumin , globulin ,frinogen. Albumin maintain osmotic pressure, fibriogen help in blood coagulation, globulin help in immunity.
