The QRS wave is larger than the P wave because the ventricles are larger than the atria.

True

False

Answer #1

Answer should be true.

P wave represent atrial depolarization on ECG whereas QRS complex represents ventricular depolarization on ECG.

Atria are three times smaller in size than the ventricles and their muscle mass is also less than that of the ventricles.

As their is less muscle mass, rapid contraction occurs which spreads faster over smaller area than contraction in ventricles which have more muscle mass due to which contraction is large and prolong, thus more in amplitude.

Atrial fibrillation is best described as when The P wave precedes, follows, or is buried in the QRS complex Disorganized and irregular atrial waves are accompanied by an irregular ventricular rate An atrial rate of 240 to 350 beats/min in a sawtooth pattern of atrial depolarization is seen P waves occurs earlier than normal, preceded by a P wave with a normal QRS configuration
