Speech and language centers of Central Nervous system:
Broca's area is present in the left side of frontal lobe of cerebral hemisphere in the brain. Broca's area is the part of the brain which is important for speech production. Broca's area converts ideas into thoughts and thoughts into spoken words. Wernicke’s area is part of brain in the posterior superior temporal lobe which connects to Broca’s area. Wernicke’s area is involved in the comprehension and language whether it is written or spoken. In a situation when Broca's area gets damaged then the person finds difficulty in speaking clearly. The speech becomes slurry and the person is not able to express himself.Due to this the person tends to speak short sentences with less words.
