Which of the following factors is NOT a cause of muscle fatigue?

Group of answer choices:

Depletion of oxygen supply

Increased ATP level

Depletion of glycogen reserve

Leakage of the calcium ion

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The correct answer is the second option.

Muscle fatigue is the inability of the muscle to generate force.

Muscle fatigue occurs due to the following reasons:

Produced during conditions like vigorous exercise where the oxygen supply is depleted.Lactic acid accumulation occurs in such conditions leading to fatigue.

When the energy resources like ATP are exhausted fatigue is observed.

Depletion of glycogen reserves,as a result of which ATP generation is inhibited.

When the muscles get tired, the channels in the muscle start leaking Calcium ions and results in weak muscle contractions. The leaked Calcium also activates an enzyme that contributes to muscle fatigue.

Which is the following is an example of compartmentation at the intracellular level? Group of answer choices Skeletal muscle cells have organelles called sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) that contain large stores of calcium ions. The calcium is released during muscle contraction and then pumped back into the SR as the muscle relaxes. The heart is divided into four chambers, with two upper chambers that receive incoming blood and two lower, more muscular chambers that send blood out into the circulation. Regions...
