3. the second action of the posterior muscle is to help in the assistance of plantar flexion of the foot at the ankle.

4. plantaris, gastrocnemius (calf) and soleus muscles are the three muscles that come together to form the calcaneus tendon. Calcaneus tendon is commonly called Achilles tendon.
