1)Two muscles that are inserted on the lesser trochanter are psoas major, lliacus.

2)Psoas major function - flexion of hip.

Iliacus function- flexion of thigh and forward tilting of pelvis.

3)Six short muscles that literally rotate the hip are.

Piriformis,gamellus inferior,gamellus superior,obturator internus,obturator externus,quadratus femoris.

4)Hip abductor muscles- gluteus minimus,gluteus medius and tensor fascia lata.

The muscles are necessary for stability,they also help rotate the leg at hip joint.

5)The muscle.which performs the lateral rotation of hip are external and internal abturators,inferior and superior gamellus, piriformis, quadratus femoris.

The muscles which performs flexion of hip are iliopsoas mucles which are psoas major and iliacus.
