What do you think would happen if there was too much fluid in the anterior of the eye?
If the fluid in the anterior chamber increases, it leads to a change and increase in pressure within the chamber. This occurs due to either excessive fluid production or decreased absorption from the trabecular mesh work. This leads to development of variety of symptoms starting form intraocular pain, development of coloured halos, blurred vision. If the conditions worsens, it could lead to scotoma, subluxation of the lens, and retinal damage by increasing the complete pressure within the eye. This condition is rare and happens in uncontrolled excessive pressure. The vision will be detoriwted completely causing ocular manifestations as a result of increased fluid in the anterior of the eye. There could also be bulging of the eyeball due to increased size associated with fluid accumulation.
