You have stopped spinning, but you still feel dizzy, as if you are still spinning. Describe what is going on in your inner ear.

• When you stopped after spinning,the fluid in the inner ear ie,is the perilymph keep swirling for some moment.
• When swirling a small amount of perilymph interfere with the tiny sensory hair cells causes the cell to bend towards the swirling.
• It takes some time for the perilymph to flow back from the sensory hair cells to the former position and the sensory hair cells to return back to the upright position.
• That lag time between the sensory hair cells bend and return back to the upright position causes the spinning.
