In females at advanced age are in bigger impediment for conception.in them at the time of birth ,primordial follicles are formed and arrested at diplotene stage of Meiosis 1. Frequency of error increases during meiosis division in oocytes in the process of oogenesis.There are greater chances of failure in segregation during Meiosis 1 in them leading to chromosomal defects in baby.Resulting into failure of conception.While in males spermatocytes are produced at regular interval from the germinal cells ,thus there is not chromosomal abberation related to segregation in them.
