What is External and internal respiration?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Respiration is the specific process by which O2 is taken into the body and co2 is expired out .

There are 2 types of respiration.

External respiration- this is the process of exchanging of co2 and O2 that is respiratory gases . O2 and co2 is exchanged between the lung and blood in external respiration.

Internal respiration- it is the specific process of exchange of gases specifically O2 and co2 . This take place between the blood and tissue where O2 is give and co2 is taken out .
