6) Aquatic animals exchange of gases takes through the moist skin and gills. They utilize oxygen from the water . Oxygen from the water is taken by the gills but they cannot utilize oxygen from the air .

-------> When the aquatic animals are placed on the terrestrial environment , they cannot utilize the oxygen directly from air

------> In terrestrial environment inorder to exchange gases , animals need lungs to exchange gases but aquatic animals have gills , so they can't exchange gases
