Taste buds are located in our tongue which are in the form of small papillae. There are four types of taste buds and they are fungiform, circumvallate, foliate and filiform. By this different taste buds we are capable of sensing 5 types of tastes which are sweet, salt, bitter, sour and umami.

Salivary glands produce saliva which has salivary amylase that helps in carbohydrate digestion.

Teeth helps in grinding of food while the cheek contain them.
