Homework Answers

Answer #1

If the pancrease has been damaged then there will be hyposecretion of :-

(c) Glucagon.

Pancreas produces mainly :-

  • Glucagon - Alpha cells
  • Insulin - Beta cells
  • Somatostatin - Delta cells
  • Pancreatic polypeptides - F cells

So its damage will lead to hyposecretion of these hormones.

The secretions other hormones given above will be normal since they are not secreted by pancrease.

Adrenocorticotrophic hormone - Secreted by Anterior pituitary.

Antidiuretic hormone - Made by hypothalamus and stored in posterior pituitary

Epinephrine - Secreted by adrenal glands.

So the correct answer is (c) Glucagon.
